Police are hunting a knifeman who burgled the home of a 90-year-old man, leaving him injured after stealing cash, jewellery and a phone.

The moment an explosion ripped through a terraced home was revealed in footage on Thursday as a man was charged with causing the blast.
Greater Manchester Police officers were called to a report of a blast at the property, in Wythenshawe, at 12.20am on Wednesday morning.
Clinton Parren, 43, is accused of causing an explosion likely to endanger life or cause serious injury to property, Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said.
After the shocking blast, which blew the ground floor window into the front garden, a 32-year-old woman and an 11-year-old girl were taken to hospital as a precaution, police said.

Investigations are under way and it is being treated as an isolated incident, the force spokesman said. The terraced house is estimated to be worth £165,000.
Detective Inspector Christopher Potter said: This was a nasty explosion that has caused some significant damage to a property and it s lucky that no-one sustained any serious injuries.

Police were called around 12.20am today to a property on Pewsey Road following a report of the sound of an explosion. Emergency services attended and enquiries established a gas canister inside the property had caused an explosion, resulting in significant damage to the walls and windows within the property. A woman and a girl, aged 32 and 11, were taken to hospital as a precaution. No other injuries have been reported. A 43-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and arson with intent to endanger life.
