SHARE THIS ARTICLE Ineos Automotive, the car company owned by billionaire mogul Sir Jim Ratcliffe, has today unveiled the hard-wearing interior of its upcoming Grenadier 4X4, which is expected to cost from around £30,000.
It is designed to be the spiritual successor to the original Land Rover and Land Rover Defender - and like the utilitarian offroaders that have been a favourites of farmers for decades it has a cabin that can be hosed clean.

2022 Ineos Grenadier is a brand-new heavy-duty four-wheel drive, and it’s coming to Australia.
And with good towing and payload capacities – along with the promise of serious off-road ability – the Grenadier will line up against the likes of the Land Rover Defender and Toyota LandCruiser.
The driving force behind this newly minted four-wheel drive is Sir Jim Ratcliffe, who is one Britain’s wealthiest people. A chemicals magnate, Ratcliffe also happens to be an enthusiast of old school four-wheel drives. In particular, he has a penchant for the Land Rover Defender.
Ratcliffe’s wealth comes from the giant global chemicals company Ineos, of which he is chairman. The company was founded by Ratcliffe in 1992, and turned US$91 billion in revenue in 2019.
