A Patna-bound GoAir flight carrying 174 passengers on-board returned to New Delhi after it suffered a bird hit on Saturday, the airline said.
The incident happened soon after the flight took off from the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport, it added.
GoAir issued a statement on the incident that the Airbus A320 neo plane suffered the bird hit when it was on the climb, forcing the pilot to discontinue the journey and return to New Delhi for an inspection of the plane.
TaxiBot is semi-robotic towbarless aircraft movement equipment developed by Israel Aerospace Industries.

NEW DELHI: Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport has become the first airport in the world to have completed 1,000 movements of sustainable taxing of aircraft with TaxiBot, which is a semi-robotic hybrid special purpose vehicle. The service has helped the airport in significantly reducing carbon emission and saving fuel.
IGI is the only airport in the world which adopted this green taxiing solution in May 2019.
TaxiBots had helped in reducing around 532 tonnes of Carbon at the airport which in turn saved 2.14 lakh litres of aviation turbine fuel (ATF), the quantity supposed to be burned by the aircraft during taxiing, said the Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) on Thursday.

The Police Command in Anambra State have confirmed the killing of two of its personnel by unknown gunmen who attacked and razed the Divisional Police Station in Obosi, Idemili North of the state.
NAN reports that DSP Tochukwu Ikenga, the command’s Public Relations Officer (PPRO) in the State, who confirmed the attack to newsmen said the attackers had after burning down the station, moved to the quarters where they killed the two personnel in the early hours of Thursday.
Ikenga said the Commissioner of Police in the state, Mr Chris Owolabi had dispatched a tactical team for on-the-spot assessment of the incident.

A Nigerian man has been apprehended by CISF personnel from the Delhi airport for allegedly smuggling narcotics hidden in his underwear, officials said on Wednesday.
They said 200 grams of methaqualone, a sedative, was recovered from Nonso Ekwealor Base. He was undergoing security checks at terminal two of the Indira Gandhi International (IGI) airport on Tuesday before he was scheduled to board an Indigo airlines flight to Bengaluru.

Many flights have been delayed and diverted due to VIP movement at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi.
As per reports, 13 flights have been diverted out of Delhi this evening. A total of 90 domestic flights arriving at Indira Gandhi International airport have been either delayed or diverted. The delays have been caused due to high frequency of VIP charter planes landing at Delhi airport.
