Russia s second flight with anti-Covid aid lands in India

29 Apr in 11:40 The second Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM) flight with a shipment of anti-Covid aid for India has landed in the Indira Gandhi International Airport. The first flight landed at the same airport at about 01:30 local time (about 23:00 Wednesday Moscow time), TASS reported. The Indian Red Cross Society, which is the consignee of the cargo, will distribute it among medical facilities. Earlier Kremlin announced that more than 22 tonnes of cargo were sent to India on two flights of the Russian Emergencies Ministry, including 20 pieces of equipment for oxygen support, 75 artificial lung ventilation devices, 150 medical monitors and 200,000 packages of drugs for the treatment of coronavirus infection.

Rs 98 crore heroin seized at IGI airport by custom officials ANI | Updated: Apr 15, 2021 22:56 IST New Delhi [India], April 15 (ANI): Customs officials have seized heroin worth Rs 98 crore at IGI Airport from two Zambian passengers. A finance ministry release said two Zambian passengers, who arrived at Indira Gandhi International (IGI) Airport on Thursday from Johannesburg, via two different Qatar Airways flights, were intercepted by the Customs officers after they crossed the green channel and were approaching the exit gate. On the basis of profiling of sensitive routes and origins, they were asked whether they were carrying any contraband goods and they refused.
