Foreign minister S Jaishankar on Wednesday said that India s relationship with China is going through a very difficult phase. He said China has deployed a large part of the military on or close to the Line of Actual Control (LAC) without explanation. Recent activities along the Line of Actual Control with China have opened India’s eyes to what cooperative effort with others might mean for their own defensive needs, a top Pentagon commander told lawmakers on Tuesday observing that New Delhi, in the very near term, will deepen its engagement with the Quad.
“India has long had an approach called strategic autonomy, you know, a non-ligned approach with others, but I think certainly the activities along the Line of Actual Control with China has opened their eyes to what cooperative effort with others might mean for their own defensive needs,” Admiral Phil Davidson, Commander of US Indo-Pacific Command,told members of the powerful Senate Foreign Relations Committee during a Congressional hearing.

Noting that disengagement of frontline troops in the Pangong Tso area was a significant step forward for resolution of other areas in the Western Sector, India and China at the 10th Corps Commander talks agreed to push for a mutually acceptable solution of remaining issues.
The way Chinese products are replacing India products, it is necessary that we aggressively pursue manufacturing, said Delhi chief minister Arvind Kejriwal.He also supported favouring small and medium industries in the country.
