India Completely Revamps Its Eastern Air Force Base That Will House The Second Squadron Of Rafale Jets May 16, 2021 The Indian Air Force (IAF) will soon operationalize its second Rafale squadron at the strategically located Hasimara Air Force Station in the eastern state of West Bengal, close to the China border. According to reports, India will receive four more Rafale jets this month, taking the total number of these fighter jets with IAF to 24 out of 36 ordered.  With the arrival of new Rafale jets, the IAF would resurrect its 101st Squadron at Hasimara Air Force Station, one of the vital military installations in the eastern sector.

IAF, UAE set to conduct first-ever drill as part of Desert Flag exercise this month

IAF As India’s ties have been building up with the Arab World, it is ready to take part in the major bilateral air force exercise in the United Arab Emirates whereby six fighter jets, namely six Sukhoi-30 MKI fighter jets, two C-17 Globemaster-III aircraft and 125 personnels who will be taking part in the Desert flag exercise. An IAF official commented that Six IAD Su-30-MKI fighters would be taking off on March 3 for the UAE in order to participate in the Dessert Flag Exercise which is scheduled to be held for 3 weeks. This announcement came right after Indian Rafale jets had been provided mid air fuelling by the Emirate’s air force tankers while they had been coming from France. Army chief, General Manoj Mukund Narvane had also visited Saudi Arabia and the UAE in order to reinforce ties. It cannot be denied that India has strengthened her diplomatic relationship with the Gulf nation through military training as well as bilateral exercises over the years.

IAF to take part in multinational exercise Desert Flag with France, US in UAE ANI | Updated: Mar 01, 2021 22:40 IST New Delhi [India], March 1 (ANI): Amid growing ties between India and the Arab world, six Indian Air Force (IAF) Su-30-MKI fighters will take off for the United Arab Emirates (UAE) on Wednesday to participate in the multinational exercise Desert Flag . The exercise comes soon after the Indian Rafale jets were provided mid air refuelling support by the Emirate s Air Force tankers while they were coming to India from France. Six IAF Su-30-MKI fighters will take off for UAE on March 3 to participate in multinational exercise Desert Flag to be held there for three weeks, IAF officials told ANI.
