Collective Medical announced a partnership with healtheConnect Alaska, a non-profit statewide health information exchange focused on serving Alaska s diverse healthcare network. The partnership will further several of the state s public health initiatives, including driving quality and cost improvements in healthcare delivery, improving patient transitions from acute, to post-acute and home care settings, and increasing information flow to enable more transparency between patients and their providers. Collective Medical is a real-time care notification, activation, and collaboration platform designed to improve patient outcomes and lower costs.

1. Dunleavy releases budget proposal
Gov. Mike Dunleavy released his Fiscal Year 2022 budget package on Friday, trimming down government spending while also looking to pay out almost $5,000 in Permanent Fund dividends. The majority of UGF funding cuts in the operating budget proposal come from cuts to DHSS.

healtheConnect Alaska, a state non-profit health information exchange (HIE), announced a new partnership with Collective Medical, the largest network platform for real-time cross-continuum care coordination, on Tuesday. This partnership aims to improve care coordination and patient care in Alaska by integrating the HIE’s existing maintained patient information with Collective’s network to create a statewide Electronic Health Record network for Alaska residents and providers.
The HIE hopes that this partnership with Collective will help further Alaska’s public health initiatives, like reducing opioid prescribing in emergency departments and improving patient transitions from acute care to post acute and home-care settings.
