Wool: Rebecca Ferguson joins post-apocalyptic series at Apple TV+

Mission: Impossible actress will executive-produce and star in Wool, a post-apocalyptic drama series based on a trilogy of novels penned by Hugh Howey. Set in a toxic future, the show is set to follow a community of humans that live deep underground in a massive silo containing hundreds of levels. There, men and women live in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them, adds the synopsis.  Ferguson will star as ‘Juliette,’ an independent and hardworking engineer. In the first book, Juliette finds herself as the head of law enforcement for the entire silo, allowing her to break with convention and uncover a deadly conspiracy.

Set in a ruined and toxic future where a community exists in a giant silo underground that’s hundreds of stories deep, Wool sees men and women living in a society full of regulations they believe are meant to protect them. Ferguson will star as an independent and hardworking engineer named Juliette. Wool will be written by screenwriter Graham Yost ( Band of Brothers, Defending Jacob, The Imitation Game). The series is executive produced by Ferguson, Yost and Tyldum, alongside Howey. Remi Aubuchon, Nina Jack and Ingrid Escajeda will also serve as executive producers on the drama, produced by AMC Studios.
