Two people were injured after a shooting on West Park Avenue in Opelousas.
Opelousas police were called at about 3 a.m. Friday to shots fired in the 1100 block of West Park Avenue. Officers found two people who had been shot, Chief Martin McLendon said in a release.
One person had non-life-threatening injuries and another was shot in the chest. Both were taken to a Lafayette hospital for treatment, McLendon said.
No suspects have been identified at this time.
