The Clara White Mission is hosting its Miracle on Ashley Street event from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 613 West Ashley St. Miracle bags will be filled with food and household items. Hot meals for the homeless will be served to-go style next to the mission. The bags and meals are first-come, first-served. The Clara White Mission is expecting to serve over 800 families during this signature event. Local business, community and political leaders will be celebrity givers, passing the bags out to the attendees.

(WKBW) — Buffalo Police from the Ferry-Fillmore district say a man was stabbed and killed on Sunday morning. The stabbing took place on the 200 block of Ashley Street., not far from the intersection of Bailey Avenue and Broadway. Investigators say the man was stabbed during a fight. He was taken to ECMC where he later died. Police have yet to release his name. They are not reporting any arrests. They are asking for help from the public. Updated: 6:24 PM EDT May 15, 2021 BUFFALO, N.Y. A man was stabbed to death Saturday morning following an altercation on the 200 block of Ashley Street, south of Broadway. Buffalo Police say the call was received at 9:45 a.m., and Ferry-Fillmore officers soon arrived at the scene. The man was taken by ambulance to Erie County Medical Center, where he was later declared dead. Anyone with information is asked to call or text the Confidential TIPCALL Line at (716) 847-2255. When City Council decided in October 2019 to give the green light to the recreational marijuana industry in the city, it limited the number of permits for marijuana micro-businesses, dispensaries and consumption centers to 28 each.

Ashley Street in downtown Ann Arbor to close for improvements Updated Apr 30, 2021; ANN ARBOR, MI Streetscape improvements will close Ashley Street leading up to the intersection of Liberty Street beginning Monday, May 3, city officials said. Beginning at 7 a.m., Ashley Street will be closed at the intersection of Liberty Street from May 3 through May 15 to allow for streetscape improvements as part of the DDA/City of Ann Arbor First and Ashley Improvements Project, officials said. Vehicles traveling northbound on Ashley Street will be detoured east on William Street, then north on Fourth Avenue, then west on Huron Street back to Ashley Street. Vehicles traveling eastbound on Liberty Street will be detoured south on First Street, then east on William Street, then north on Fourth Avenue back to Liberty Street, the city said.
