Ashley Street in downtown Ann Arbor to close for improvements

ANN ARBOR, MI Streetscape improvements will close Ashley Street leading up to the intersection of Liberty Street beginning Monday, May 3, city officials said.
Beginning at 7 a.m., Ashley Street will be closed at the intersection of Liberty Street from May 3 through May 15 to allow for streetscape improvements as part of the DDA/City of Ann Arbor First and Ashley Improvements Project, officials said.
Vehicles traveling northbound on Ashley Street will be detoured east on William Street, then north on Fourth Avenue, then west on Huron Street back to Ashley Street. Vehicles traveling eastbound on Liberty Street will be detoured south on First Street, then east on William Street, then north on Fourth Avenue back to Liberty Street, the city said.

ANN ARBOR, Mich. – Over the next week, several streets around Ann Arbor will be closed for construction and maintenance repairs starting Thursday.
Closures range in length from one day to a few months.
Here’s what to expect:
Liberty Street
Starting at 7 a.m. on Thursday, the westbound side of Liberty Street between Main and First streets will be closed. The intersection of Ashley and Liberty streets will be closed to address field conditions found during DDA/City of Ann Arbor First and Ashley Improvements Project construction, the city said.
