Representative image NOIDA/GHAZIABAD: More than 1,500 healthcare workers (HCWs) in Noida’s private facilities are unable to get their names registered on the state portal that is required for vaccination. In Ghaziabad, too, over 1,000 HCWs cannot find their names in the list of registered recipients on Co-WIN. In GB Nagar, as many as 24,543 HCWs were listed for the first phase of vaccinations, while 21,000 were listed in Ghaziabad. Yet, officials from private hospitals and clinics could be seen making rounds of the Ghaziabad health department to get names of their staff registered. Their efforts, however, have not fetched any results so far.

The fast-dipping temperature and the post-COVID trauma has led to a rise in cases of heart-related issues. Hospitals are witnessing at least 50 per cent rise in such cases in comparison to last winter. The cases, including heart attacks and strokes have significantly increased, doctors told IANS. Medanta Hospital in Gurugram said that it has seen 50 per cent rise in patients coming with heart issues since the start of December.
