To provide the most deprived with much-needed care during this health crisis, the Karnataka State Commission for Protection of Child Rights (
KSCPCR) in association with Corona Care Bengaluru, Karmodaya and
Caritas, supplied medical kits and
oxygen concentrators to a
tribal people in and around
BR Hills.
Corona Care Bengaluru is a consortium of non-governmental organisations (NGOs) such as The Good Quest Foundation, Bangalore Rural Educational and Development Society (BREADS), The Project Vision, AIFO and ECHO.
"Covid cases are everywhere, in all the slums. We probably had 10 times that number of cases we saw which went undetected because there is stigma, and lack of RT-PCR tests."
