SOUTH PHILADELPHIA - Talk about insult to injury in Philadelphia, especially when all they’re trying to do is get their trash taken away. Not only has trash pickup been delayed, but some residents have received tickets for having trash outside.
Trash bags line a block of 21st Street, near Wharton, in Point Breeze and residents say it was supposed to be picked up Tuesday. A block over on Sears Street at 21st Street, city workers did show up Tuesday, but residents say their pickup day was Monday.

Gerald Spohrer assured himself of his third Top-10 finish of the season with his victory in the Knockout Round at the St. Lawrence River.
By MLF Communications Staff Gerald Spohrer caught 35 scorable bass weighing 130-08 to win the Knockout Round at the MLF Bass Pro Tour event on the St. Lawrence River in Massena, N.Y. The final 10 anglers are now set, and competition will resume Wednesday morning with the Championship Round. Weights are zeroed and the angler who catches the most weight will win the top prize of $100,000.

Brent Ehrler boated a two-day total of 59 bass totaling 190-13 to end the round in 2nd place after starting in 3rd. Justin Lucas caught 52 bass weighing 177-09 over two days to finish the round in 3rd place.
