Closures
Colborne Street – Division to Chatham – closed until 7 p.m. Aug. 30 for construction staging.
Garrett Street – near Division – closed until the end of September for construction staging for development projects on Division and Garrett. Local access is available via University.

Chemical incident leaves FIFTEEN people injured at Kent industrial site

EMERGENCY services have rushed to the scene of a chemical spill which has left fifteen people injured.
The incident happened in the early hours of the morning at Quarry Wood Industrial Estate in Aylesford, Kent.

Paramedics were called to the incident in the early hours of the morning
The patients have been described as having “minor injuries” after the suspected chemical spill at 5.38am.
It s feared that the patients have inhaled toxic fumes, and paramedics have taken supplies of oxygen to the scene.
It s not yet clear whether they were workers at the premises or people nearby, or a mix of both.
