Chemical incident leaves FIFTEEN people injured at Kent industrial site Updated: 9:07, 30 Jul 2021 EMERGENCY services have rushed to the scene of a chemical spill which has left fifteen people injured. The incident happened in the early hours of the morning at Quarry Wood Industrial Estate in Aylesford, Kent. 1 Paramedics were called to the incident in the early hours of the morning The patients have been described as having “minor injuries” after the suspected chemical spill at 5.38am. It s feared that the patients have inhaled toxic fumes, and paramedics have taken supplies of oxygen to the scene.   It s not yet clear whether they were workers at the premises or people nearby, or a mix of both.

Owners of indoor play centre Adventure Kidz in Aylesford hope Chancellor Rishi Sunak s budget will provide financial support to help their business survive  |  Updated: 15:51, 23 February 2021 The owners of an indoor play centre have appealed to the Chancellor to come up with a rescue package in next week s budget to help their business survive. Elizabeth and Andrew Moody, who own Adventure Kidz in Aylesford, have had zero income during the pandemic having been shut for almost a year due to three lockdowns. While they welcomed Boris Johnson s roadmap towards easing restrictions as a positive step - with a potential reopening date of May 17, at the earliest - they remain concerned about how they are going to financially survive until May.
