Police name victims of quadruple shooting at Buford apartment complex

BUFORD, Ga. - Police in Gwinnett County said a person rushed to the hospital after a quadruple shooting on May 12 has died, bringing the death toll in the case to two victims. Police said one of those victims is in critical condition at a hospital.
Police said officers responding to the shooting at Preston Hills at Mill Creek Apartments found 24-year-old Buford man Edgar J. Cruz Fuentes dead, and a 27-year-old man from Buford, Deniss Becerra, died later at the hospital. Ronald R. Cruz-Fuentes, 20 from Buford, is listed as critical. Lillian Kayarath, a 20-year old from Lawrenceville, was released from the hospital.

BUFORD, Ga. Gwinnett Police are on the scene of a homicide where they said the crime scene was chaotic after four people were shot.
It happened at the Preston Hills at Mill Creek Apartments at 2910 Buford Drive in Buford.
Police said they got a call at around 2:30 a.m. on Wednesday. When they arrived, they found one man shot dead inside an apartment.
Three additional shooting victims, including two females and one male were transported to the hospital, they said. The conditions of those three are unknown.
Harbor Group International (HGI) has acquired an eight-property
multifamily portfolio for a JV of McDowell Properties and Angelo Gordon for
$309 million.
Know as The Southern Piedmont Portfolio, the package
includes 2,322 units spread across suburban submarkets in North Carolina and
Virginia.
HGI plans a $13 million capital expenditure program to upgrade and modernize the properties, which has an average vintage in the early 1990s, with about 71 percent of the garden-style units featuring classic or lightly renovated finishes.
A team from Newmark that included John Heimburger, Christine
Espenshade, Dean Smith, Sean Wood, Alex Okulski, Jason Kon and John Munroe were
the sole brokers on the transaction.
