The surgery rated best for ‘overall experience’ of patients in the 2021 NHS patient survey. The survey asked residents for their views on their doctors surgeries across a range of different areas. The number of surveys completed varies from surgery to surgery, and does not represent every patient who is registered at any one centre. Of the Beeches Green patients who responded, 97 per cent said their overall experience was good or very good. Community groups, clinicians and volunteers have been praised for their efforts alongside GP practices and staff as the coronavirus vaccine rollout continues in a coastal town.
With tens of thousands of residents having been vaccinated across Norfolk and Waveney, new cohorts of people in the next priority groups will be vaccinated in the Lowestoft area from next week.
It comes as the Covid-19 vaccination programme in the Lowestoft area is going well with most of the people aged over 80, residents in care homes, care home workers and vulnerable NHS staff having received vaccinations since mid-December.

With tens of thousands of residents having been vaccinated across Norfolk and Waveney, new cohorts of people in the next priority groups will be vaccinated in the Lowestoft area from next week.

Senior GPs from Stroud and Dursley have asked for the public’s understanding and support as they strive to meet unprecedented challenges. As well as the usual increase in demand during the winter months, GP surgery teams are delivering the expanded flu immunisation campaign and preparing for the COVID-19 mass vaccination programme. Dr Simon Opher, from Walnut Tree Practice in Dursley, said: “Our surgery teams are working incredibly hard to meet the health and care needs of patients and to protect the public by supporting essential public health programmes. We are grateful for the support of our local communities and for recognising the pressures being experienced within local GP surgeries during these unprecedented times.
