Edwin Farrow, Esquire of Bridgeport is one of three honorees to receive the Brian Langdon Award at LifeBridge s annual Building a Brighter Future Gala which will be an online virtual event on June 10 at 6:30 pm. LifeBridge, an organization dedicated to building resilience in Bridgeport’s youth and families, established the award in 2019 to recognize former President and CEO Brian Langdon for his extraordinary leadership.

Over 1,200 donors supported the campaign to help secure a Grand Prize!
For the third year in a row, LifeBridge Community Services has won a Grand Prize from Fairfield County’s Community Foundation for securing the highest number of unique donors during the Foundation’s annual Giving Day campaign. In total, LifeBridge raised over $80,000 to support youth programming and behavioral health services for children and families in Bridgeport.

LifeBridge Community Services dedicated the Music Room in the Center for Youth Development to Brendan Miles of Southport. The dedication is in recognition of a $180,000 gift from Brendan and Carolyn Miles’ daughter Molly Miles. The amount represents half of the proceeds from the sale of a vintage Ferrari the couple gifted to their daughter. Molly decided to donate the proceeds to LifeBridge in recognition of her father who has served as Board Chair and now on the Board.
LifeBridge Community Services and the Black Rock Foundation Announce New Collaboration Written by LifeBridge Community Services
The Black Rock Foundation and LifeBridge Community Services, non-profit organizations serving Bridgeport youth and families, announced a new collaboration to foster literacy among youth served by the organizations.
To kick-off their initial collaboration, LifeBridge President & CEO Alan Mathis and The Black Rock Foundation Executive Director Michael Brown decided to create a much-needed library for the children and young adults at LifeBridge’s main headquarters. The Black Rock Foundation donated 160 books to LifeBridge to initially open the library.
“We look forward to working with the Black Rock Foundation to expand what we are able to offer our Urban Scholars,” said Mathis. “Reading and literacy is critical to helping them excel in school and the library will provide innumerable ways for them to explore the world beyond their doorste
