(FIA World Touring Car Cup) The WTCR − FIA World Touring Car Cup will be powered by sustainable fuel from this season following confirmation of partnership agreements between P1 Racing Fuels, motorsport governing body the FIA and WTCR promoter Eurosport Events.
Berlin-based P1 Racing Fuels has been confirmed as the WTCR’s Official Fuel Supplier by the FIA World Motor Sport Council after it was successful in developing a bespoke racing biofuel product for the WTCR during a rigorous tender process overseen by the FIA Technical Department.
The new biofuel formulation seeks to significantly reduce carbon footprint while never compromising on engine performance. It will result in WTCR drivers being powered by a bespoke fuel featuring 15 per cent renewable components for the first time. These non-fossil fuel-based components have been derived from bioethanol produced from cellulose and ligneous biomass, as well as bio-synthetic (fully renewable) fuel. This allows P1 Racing Fuels to
One in ten Glasgow councillors failed to attend more than 60% of all committee meetings they were expected at last year. Nine out of 85 councillors had an attendance rate of 60% or below in 2020. And five of them failed to attend at more than half of the meetings they were required at. The Glasgow Times obtained records of attendance for all 85 city councillors over the last three years.

WTCR introduces biofuel for 2021 with P1 Racing Fuels

P1 Racing Fuels has been appointed the official fuel supplier for the World Touring Car Cup in a two-year agreement and will for the 2021 season introduce fuel with 15% renewable components.
“The appointment of P1 Racing Fuels as the WTCR’s Official Fuel Supplier is an important first step towards the use of 100% sustainable fuel in the series as outlined in the roadmap we have defined for the introduction of biofuel in WTCR,” said Alan Gow, president of the FIA Touring Car Commission.
“P1 Racing Fuels has not only delivered this bespoke product, it has done so on budget as part of ongoing cost-reduction measures.

BTCC extends Goodyear tyre deal

Organisers of the BTCC have announced an extended deal with tyre supplier Goodyear that will run through to the end of the 2026 season.
The new deal will see the relationship between the two parties run to more than 20 years, and will include the introduction of the new hybrid era from next year.
The Goodyear name returned to the series last year, with the Dunlop brand having previously been the one that was showcased in the series.
“We are thrilled to have signed yet another extension to our partnership with the BTCC, continuing as tyre supplier and retaining the naming rights to the championship,” Goodyear Europe motorsport director Ben Crawley said.
