, Gabby Thomas tried to talk to her younger brother Arthur, after his emotional reaction to mum Laurel and Jai Sharma confirming that they d made the difficult decision to book a termination.
Last night Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Jai (Chris Bisson) told their family that they had chosen to end their pregnancy following the news that their baby would be born with Down s syndrome. ITV
Arthur (Alfie Clarke) was upset by the news and misunderstood their reasoning, asking if they were planning to abort the pregnancy because they were worried the child might turn out to be difficult like him, before promising to change if it would stop them having an abortion.

Gabby (Rosie Bentham) and Arthur (Alfie Clarke) were both surprised last night as Laurel and Jai revealed their difficult decision to book a termination.
Laurel (Charlotte Bellamy) and Jai (Chris Bisson) have chosen to end their pregnancy following the news that their baby would be born with Down s syndrome.
While Gabby understood their reasoning, Arthur struggled to accept the situation and urged Laurel to have the baby. The tense conversation led to Laurel regretting her decision to tell Arthur and Gabby the truth.

Laurel and her partner Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson), the father of Laurel’s baby, head to the hospital full of apprehension.

Laurel, who recently went for her first scan, decided to have the test after the medics informed her that her baby could have Down’s Syndrome.
