Police are investigating two murders in South Trinidad in which two men from San Fernando one 23 years; the other 24 years old lost their lives during the early hours of Wednesday morning.
A report states that 24-year-old Jemeil Scipio was sitting in the living room in his Building 12 apartment along Roy Joseph Street in San Fernando, during the early hours of Wednesday 17 February 2021. A gunman is said to have entered the apartment around 1 am and shot him several times before running off.
Police said an anonymous female contacted them and reported the shooting.
It is alleged that Scipio was with a 17-year-old girl at the time of the incident.

Two separate shootings, one at a party in La Brea and the other at San Fernando, early on Wednesday, left two men dead and two others hospitalised.
Police identified the dead men as Jameil Scipio, 24, who lived at Roy Joseph Street, San Fernando, and Aaron Maynard, 23, of Cocoyea Village.
The first shooting happened at around 1 am at the housing development where Scipio lived. Residents heard gunshots and called the police. Police found him in the living room with multiple wounds.
Scipio was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH), where he later died.
The Athens County Commissioners named Teresa Imler to the position of 911 director for the county.
Imler will begin her position on Jan. 1, 2021, a press release states. She was previously serving as dispatch supervisor for Athens County 911.
âWe are extremely pleased we have found our new director in-house,â Commissioner Lenny Eliason said in a release. âTeresa has been a valuable member of the 911 department for a long time. We are looking forward to her leadership in her new position.â
Imler has been with the Athens County 911 for 23 years, the release states. She said in the release she looks forward to improving the service for county residents.
