Five murders push toll to 40 by 20210217195134 20210217 Po­lice were up to late yes­ter­day prob­ing the deaths of five men in north and south Trinidad. Two of the vic­tims were killed in one in­ci­dent in Mara­cas, St Joseph. The dead men have been iden­ti­fied as Ronell Scot­land, Rus­sell Du Bois, Mal­colm Richard­son, Aaron May­nard and Jameil Sci­pio. Their deaths have pushed the mur­der toll to 40. Three mur­ders were record­ed in North Trinidad on Tues­day night with­in three hours. There was a dou­ble mur­der at Mara­cas St Joseph where one oth­er was wound­ed and in Mor­vant, a man, 25, was killed.

2 San Fernando men gunned down File photo - Two separate shootings, one at a party in La Brea and the other at San Fernando, early on Wednesday, left two men dead and two others hospitalised. Police identified the dead men as Jameil Scipio, 24, who lived at Roy Joseph Street, San Fernando, and Aaron Maynard, 23, of Cocoyea Village. The first shooting happened at around 1 am at the housing development where Scipio lived. Residents heard gunshots and called the police. Police found him in the living room with multiple wounds. Scipio was taken to the San Fernando General Hospital (SFGH), where he later died.
