Today (1 June) officially marks the start of Pride Month, and many big companies have released Pride clothing collections – as is now traditional.
It’s a month for LGBT+ people to celebrate how far we’ve come while also recognising the work that still needs to be done.
Every year, big name brands take part in Pride celebrations – usually with the launch of clothing collections embossed with rainbows.
However, some brands come under fire for chasing after the “pink pound” with their Pride clothing and ignoring LGBT+ people for the rest of the year.

In solidarity with the LGBTQ+ community, Apple is releasing a brand-new Apple Watch Pride Edition band and dynamic watch inspired by the Pride Flag which has espoused diversity and equality.
Today, on International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, and Biphobia (IDAHOT), Apple debuts a new Apple Watch Pride Edition band and dynamic watch face, both which incorporate a broader set of colours inspired by multiple Pride flags that have represented the diverse LGBTQ+ community throughout history.
Since the introduction of Apple Watch Pride Edition in 2016, Apple’s unique Pride bands have been a visible illustration how the company stands and supports the LGBTQ+ community.
