Ann Arbor council gives final OK to 22-unit condo development on Main Street

ANN ARBOR, MI A new townhouse-style condo development on a long-vacant site north of downtown Ann Arbor now has City Council’s final OK to proceed.
Council voted unanimously Monday night, April 19, to approve a rezoning and site plan for the project at 700 N. Main St.
Auburn Hills-based Trowbridge Companies plans to build 22 market-rate condos in two rows with a middle courtyard.
“We want to thank the city of Ann Arbor’s team approach of working with us to help bring this wonderful project to fruition,” said project architect Bill Jarratt of Jarratt Architecture.

ANN ARBOR, MI A new townhouse-style condo development on Main Street could be cleared to move forward soon.
The Ann Arbor City Council voted unanimously Monday night, March 15, to give its initial OK to rezone the property at 700 N. Main St. to allow Auburn Hills-based Trowbridge Companies to build 22 market-rate condos.
The project, called Near North, is now due for final council approval April 19.
The site is across from the Ann Arbor Community Center, where an affordable housing project stalled several years ago and a row of eight houses was demolished.

ANN ARBOR, MI – A new townhouse-style condo development with added sustainability features is headed to City Council for approval.
Ann Arbor’s Planning Commission got a closer look at new renderings of the 22-unit Near North development Tuesday night, Jan. 5, before voting unanimously to recommend council approval of the project.
The development site at 700 N. Main St. is across from the Ann Arbor Community Center where a row of eight houses was demolished several years ago.
Auburn Hills-based Trowbridge Companies is proposing the project, working with Jarratt Architecture and Powell Engineering and Associates.
