ANN ARBOR, MI — A new townhouse-style condo development on Main Street could be cleared to move forward soon.
The Ann Arbor City Council voted unanimously Monday night, March 15, to give its initial OK to rezone the property at 700 N. Main St. to allow Auburn Hills-based Trowbridge Companies to build 22 market-rate condos.
The project, called Near North, is now due for final council approval April 19.
The site is across from the Ann Arbor Community Center, where an affordable housing project stalled several years ago and a row of eight houses was demolished.
