These Are the True Stories Behind Pose s Unruly House of Khan The House of Khan was known for not taking no bullshit,
Pose is back and there s a new house on the scene.
FX is back with its much-lauded series Pose, centering around Black and brown queer and trans folks living through the mid 1990s. Season three of the show debuts in 1994 putting us at the nexus of a lot of change happening: this community is sitting at the center of the AIDS epidemic, as well as the crack epidemic. And, following the success of certain members of the community garnering a bit of fame given Madonna s Vogue and
Pose, its Emmy-Award winning star,
Billy Porter, tells ABC Audio that there’s still many more important “conversations” he’d love to have before the series officially bows out.
“I, as a Black gay man who came out in the ’80s and grew up in the Pentecostal church, it’s time we have that conversation,” Porter says. “It’s time we pull out our Bibles, both sides, and have that conversation.”
“The homophobia in the Black church is killing us,” he declares. “And it’s not about acceptance. It’s not about tolerance. It’s about respect for my humanity.”

Yesterday, the
Euphoria actress posted a series of photos to Instagram, featuring a periwinkle ensemble from Australian womenswear brand Dion Lee. The three-piece outfit included a well-tailored suit with a lightweight knit of the same color underneath. Showing off the look in a compilation of three shots, she stayed true to herself by adding a pair of thigh-high boots with shearling lining.
Also in true Schafer style, she matched her fashion look to her glam, lining her lower lids with a light purple eye shadow by Japanese beauty brand Shiseido. The model sported a peachy-pink color on the lip to complement the soft hues. Bringing the full idea together, she wore her hair slicked down the middle with the ends flipped up.
I always hesitate to compliment Jared Polis for fear that any kind word from me backfires. It could anger his progressive supporters who have near complete sway over him.
When Jared was running for Congress the first time, I was joking around with him saying that if he would just donate a million dollars to my organization, Independence Institute, I wouldn’t endorse him. Polis instantly shot back, “How much for you to endorse my opponent?” He understands the danger of praise.
But praise is deserved.
Polis FINALLY stood up to the loony wing of his party (which, by the way, has complete control of the state legislature). He sent a strong veto message against the economy-wrecking, Green New Deal-wannabe Senate Bill 200, sponsored by socialists Faith Winter, Dominick Moreno and Dominique Jackson.
