UK Churches Make Care Packages for NHS

Churches in the UK are making care packages for NHS staff to bless, support, and encourage them amid the high-pressure exhaustion of the pandemic.
The health care workers are receiving chocolate bars, coffee vouchers, and thank-you cards, with the idea spreading across churches and to the broader community.
Leaders at Gateway Church in Kings Lynn, Norfolk were inspired by another church to create the parcels, and more churches are getting on board.
Gateway has around 15 frontline NHS staff in its congregation, including doctors and nurses who are treating COVID patients and have had the virus themselves.

Gateway Church to hold a Bless our NHS service With the continuing challenges to health workers, the Gateway Church in King’s Lynn is organising a Bless Our NHS service. Pastor Andy Moyle explains. As a church we have lots of frontline NHS staff. Over the last year we have cheered them on. We have prayed for them and supported them. We have seen their exhaustion. Help has been offered in practical ways as nearly all of them have suffered with Covid-19. So we are all too aware of the immense physical and emotional pressure that NHS staff are under at this time.
