UK Churches Make Care Packages for NHS

Churches in the UK are making care packages for NHS staff to bless, support, and encourage them amid the high-pressure exhaustion of the pandemic.
The health care workers are receiving chocolate bars, coffee vouchers, and thank-you cards, with the idea spreading across churches and to the broader community.
Leaders at Gateway Church in Kings Lynn, Norfolk were inspired by another church to create the parcels, and more churches are getting on board.
Gateway has around 15 frontline NHS staff in its congregation, including doctors and nurses who are treating COVID patients and have had the virus themselves.

A retired postman has no plans to put his feet up after completing his 100th 10k run since lockdown began last March.
Mick Ennis, from King s Lynn, celebrated his 79th birthday by inviting well wishers to donate to Myeloma UK, a charity supporting research into the illness that took his daughter Sharon at a tragically young age.
The Ryston Runners welfare officer, who was joined by Janet Moyle over the 10k distance, raised more than £500 for the charity before being greeted by a small welcoming party of supporters at the finish in The Walks.
