ALBANY, N.Y. – The New York State Board of Regents has canceled August Regents exams, and all but four June exams for high school students, as part of a series of emergency regulation revisions to 2021 diploma requirements.
The state asked the federal government to waive all state testing this year due to the pandemic, but in February, the U.S. Department of Education (USDE) said it would not grant a blanket waiver of all state assessments.
