ROCHESTER, N.Y. (WHEC) A Rochester-area state senator will co-chair the NYS Black, Puerto Rican, Hispanic & Asian Legislative Caucus (BPHA) s Marijuana Task Force.
Sen. Jeremy Cooney (D, 56) will co-chair the caucus’s efforts to get recreational pot legalized in the state senate.
Cooney says he is a strong supporter of legalizing recreational weed in a way that reduces harm while creating new and diverse businesses, jobs and stimulating rural and urban economies.
Maj. Leader Crystal Peoples-Stokes (D, 141) is the co-chair in the New York State Assembly.
