A critical incident has been declared after a man died in hospital after police were called to a home in Gunnedah overnight. Two officers from the Oxley.
Police allege the pair stole a number of cars within the township of Wee Waa.
Following inquires, Oxley Police District executed a search warrant on a unit on Mitchell Street at about 3.15 yesterday afternoon and arrested two 15-year-old boys.
Police seized several items from the unit, including a gel blaster replica pistol and mobile phones.
The youths were taken to Wee Waa Police Station.
One of the 15-year-old boys was charged with aggravated break and enter (x 3), be carried in conveyance taken w/o consent of owner, larceny, steal motor vehicle and destroy property by fire.
The other 15-year-old boy was charged with aggravated break and enter (x 3), steal motor vehicle, destroy property by fire, possess unauthorised firearm, unlicensed driving and larceny.
Detectives are asking anyone with information about this maroon Toyota Hilux or its occupants to come forward.
Police are trying to track down a ute they’re hoping can lead them to more answers surrounding a suspicious bushfire in the state’s northwest two years ago.
