AHMEDABAD: A man from Ahmedabad city and a woman from Indonesia were booked by the city crime branch on Saturday in connection with a case of illegal stay in India for which they forged documents like election card and Aadhaar card.
The accused were identified as Tini Sandip Joshi, whose real name is Nilu Suhatini Ketwat Redia, 40, and her husband, Sandip Joshi, 53, who were staying in posh locality of Jaaspur in city.
Police said that Joshi had first met Redia during his business tour in Chennai in 2013 at a spa.
“When Joshi took her service in the spa, he fell in love with her but as she had come on a tourist visa, she had to leave Chennai in 15 days then,” said a cop.

How it happened
As per reports one Prakash Makwana, who lives in a Nava Vadaj village, and his friend Karan Parmar, both belonging to the Dalit community, were standing near the latter’s house, which adjacent to a locality, where families belonging to Bharwad caste reside. AHMEDABAD: If you need a number to contact any online business, do not rely on Google or you may get scammed. Anamika Divakasingh of Narol found this out the hard way. The 25-year-old who googled for the number of an online grocery delivery service, ended up in the clutches of cybercrooks and got cheated out of Rs 50,000.
The victim, who works in a private firm, told police that she had ordered some goods through Grofers on August 15, 2020.
“When she opened the app in the evening, she realised that the goods were shown as delivered but she had not received it. So, she found a number of the service on google and dialled it. The man at the other end told her that the order had been cancelled. Offering her a refund, he asked her to download a link and send him the One-Time Password she received. Anamika did as told and received a message that Rs 50,000 had been deducted from her bank account,” said cybercrime cell officials.
