Ahmedabad: In a shocking incident, a group of four men allegedly abused and thrashed two Dalit men for standing in an OBC locality in Vadaj area of Gujarat’s Ahmedabad.
How it happened
As per reports one Prakash Makwana, who lives in a Nava Vadaj village, and his friend Karan Parmar, both belonging to the Dalit community, were standing near the latter’s house, which adjacent to a locality, where families belonging to Bharwad caste reside. AHMEDABAD: Two dalit men from Vadaj were thrashed by four men for entering an OBC neighbourhood, states FIR filed with Vadaj police. Prakash Makwana, 28, a resident of Vankarvas in Nava Vadaj village, stated in his FIR that he and his friend Karan Parmar were standing outside Karan’s house, which is adjacent to a Bharwad neighbourhood.
Four men Sanjay Bharwad, Akshay Bharwad, Nikhil Bharwad and Snehal Bharwad approached them and asked them why they were standing near Bharwadvaas.
“Before we could say anything, they began telling us to go away and abusing us,” Prakash stated in his FIR.
