We know the British actor auditioned alongside Robert Downey Jr., and in a recent piece over at Variety, Holland shed a little more light on what that experience was like for him. There was me and six other kids, and [Robert] Downey [Jr.] was there, so we all tested with Downey, which was crazy, he reflected.
In Spider-Man: Miles Morales, Diversity Is More Than Skin-Deep
Spider-Man game and Miles Morales’
Spider-Man game take place in very different cities. Both are set in New York City in Manhattan, both allow you to swing your way through the entire island, and aside from a few in-universe exceptions like the Avengers Tower, both are modeled off the real Manhattan. But that’s where the similarities end.
You could say Peter lives in the New York of a young white man and Miles lives in the New York of a Black teenager, but the truth is more complicated than that. Peter lives in an idealized New York, one where New Yorkers are all kind-hearted rough diamonds and good wins and evil loses. It’s the New York from
Marvel MCU Phase 4 Daredevil, Recasting, And Other Details You Missed
Disney’s Investors Day had Kevin Feige dropping Marvel announcement after Marvel announcement and while I’m sure you caught all the big ones, there might’ve been a few details and teases that slipped under your radar. After a long, long drought without a drop of Marvel news, Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios dropped more bombs than a Stark industires Jericho missile sparing only trailers for the upcoming movies as it was all-eyes on Disney+ (with three trailers for the upcoming titles seemingly stealing the show early on).

Jon Bernthal Reportedly In Talks Now To Return As The Punisher
To put it in the simplest of terms,
the Punisher doesn’t work within the confines of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Sure, the Netflix shows originally took place in the same narrative space as the movies before Kevin Feige disregarded them as canon, and for a while, Frank Castle was technically bludgeoning criminals and gunning down bad guys not far from Tony Stark’s Avengers Tower, but you couldn’t imagine the two ever crossing paths.
Plenty of film and television projects feature excessive and often needless violence, but if you take that away from the Punisher, then you greatly reduce both the appeal of the character and the connection to his comic book roots, turning him into just another PG-13 action hero. Jon Bernthal isn’t shy about admitting that he’s got unfinished business with the role, but you can hardly picture the grizzled actor trading witty barbs with the MCU’s roster of superheroes during
