The man who allegedly threatened National MP Simeon Brown has been given name suppression. The 25-year-old appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court on Thursday charged with threatening to commit grievous bodily harm. Judge Arthur Tompkins granted the man interim name suppression after his lawyer Cathie Sheat appealed an earlier request for name suppression, which was declined. The man was remanded in custody and will appear again in the Hutt Valley District Court on June 3.
