Name suppression for man who allegedly threatened MP Simeon Brown

The man who allegedly threatened National MP Simeon Brown has been given name suppression.
The 25-year-old appeared in the Hutt Valley District Court on Thursday charged with threatening to commit grievous bodily harm.
Judge Arthur Tompkins​ granted the man interim name suppression after his lawyer Cathie Sheat​ appealed an earlier request for name suppression, which was declined.
The man was remanded in custody and will appear again in the Hutt Valley District Court on June 3.
