CICSE postpones Class 10, 12 board exams amid second wave of covid News Network April 16, 2021 New Delhi, Apr 16: The Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) has postponed class 10 (ICSE) and class 12 (ISC) board exams amid Coronavirus surge in the country, in line with CBSE’s decision.  Notably, the Council will announce the fresh dates for ICSE Board class 10 and class 12 board exams in the first week of June. The announcement is a breather for students who have been demanding postponement of ICSE Board exams amid the ongoing second wave of Coronavirus surge. “The Covid situation will be closely monitored and the deferment of the ICSE and ISC 2021 examinations will be reviewed and a final decision on the conduct of the examinations will be taken by the first week of June 2021,” the board said in a statement.

The numbers include both RT-PCR and Rapid Antigen Test reports of devotees and seers of different akharas (ascetic groups) over the five-day period in the entire Mela Kshetra extending from Haridwar to Devprayag, Haridwar Chief Medical Officer Shambhu Kumar Jha said on Thursday. More RT-PCR test reports are awaited and the trend shows that the number of infected persons in the Kumbh Mela Kshetra is likely to climb to 2,000, he said.

KSRTC employees strike enters fourth day in Karnataka ANI | Updated: Apr 10, 2021 14:22 IST Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], April 10 (ANI): Commuters are faced with fluctuating travel fares in private buses of Karnataka on Thursday as the indefinite strike of Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) employees entered fourth day. The strike is mainly over demand for revision of salaries. Bangalore Metropolitan Transport Corporation (BMTC) employees are also in support of the strike. Private players are operating buses both in Bengaluru city and also to outstations. A commuter told ANI, I came from Shivamogga and reached Bangalore today morning, I faced problems with the bus rates in the private buses. It has fluctuating rates, some have Rs 700, some of the buses have Rs 500, finally, I ended up travelling in the bus with Rs 500 ticket fare.
