Long Island school elections, 2021-22 Print Email School district residents go to the polls on May 18 to vote on budgets and members of their local boards for the coming school year. Below are the details on the ballots in 124 districts. Results will be posted here as they become available. Read our full coverage of the results here. The Great Neck, Lawrence, Hewlett-Woodmere and West Hempstead districts received permission from the state to hold voting on May 11, before the statewide date of May 18, which is also the date of the Jewish holiday Shavuot. New Canaan Community Update: 98% of Residents Over 65 Vaccinated, News on Memorial Day Parade and Family 4th Celebrations Coming Soon!

Moynihan 98% of residents 65 and older vaccinate, 81% of residents 45-64 vaccinated In this evening s community outcall, First Selectman Kevin Moynihan reported that the state DPH reports that about 98% of our 3,000 New Canaan seniors over 65 have been vaccinated. DPH also reports that 81% of the 45-64 age group and 61% across all eligible age groups (16 and over) in New Canaan have received at least one dose of vaccination. These are very encouraging numbers and we thank all residents for their patience and participation with the vaccination process. At least in New Canaan and Connecticut, we are seeing light at the end of the tunnel for this historic pandemic.
