Depeche Mode s Martin Gore Monkeys Around on New Solo Album, The Third Chimpanzee

Depeche Mode s Martin Gore Monkeys Around on New Solo EP, The Third Chimpanzee A.D. Amorosi, provided by FacebookTwitterEmail The last time audiences witnessed Martin Gore, David Gahan and Andrew Fletcher – collectively, Euro-electronic pop avatars Depeche Mode – together was when the trio, virtually and humorously, accepted their award as part of the 2020 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony. Come March, Depeche will be up for another award, as its 2020 career-collecting set, the all-black, all square “MODE,” is nominated for Best Boxed or Special Limited Edition Package (for art director Jeff Schulz). Like the rest of the music-making and touring world, Depeche has had to sit out the last 12 months. Its principle composer and co-founding member Martin Gore, however, had other plans namely a new solo record, “The Third Chimpanzee.”

Mental health to be impacted by third lockdown, experts say

EXPERTS are worried about the effect of a third lockdown on people’s mental health. People have been told to stay at home for third time this year due to a rapid rise in coronavirus cases. In his Downing Street announcement Prime Minister Boris Johnson said he was sorry for the extra anxiety the pandemic was causing people with mental health conditions. Julie Mattinson, director of Ipsum, a mental health and wellbeing centre supporting people in the area, believes this lockdown will have a deeper effect. She said: “We are now in a winter lockdown. Last year, the first lockdown was in spring and summer and it was easy to get out, go for a walk, we had the sunshine, we were able to take care of our mental health by even just sitting in the sun.
