Of all the stories about people flipping out, I have to believe that road rage incidents are the ones we all can understand the most. I mean, how many of us didn’t get pissed at another driver doing something stupid? Maybe you got cut off or maybe they rushed to get in front of you, only to slow to a crawl while traffic passes to the side so you can’t go around them. Regardless, I sure get it.
Especially in Atlanta.
See, I hate driving in Atlanta. Unfortunately, I had to take my daughter up there for a medical appointment not long ago. The trip required me to drive on I-285 several times where I expected to see a guy playing a flamethrower-guitar on the top of a vehicle at pretty much any point. The traffic was awful.
Tomorrow (Friday) is the deadline to register for an online course on the basics of beekeeping through Carroll County Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach. The two-night class will be hosted via Zoom and led by ISU Agriculture Specialist, Zack Koopman. Beekeeping 101 was designed to introduce the fundamentals of managing a honeybee colony. The first session will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, March 15, and Koopman will review what kinds of equipment a new beekeeper would need and important decisions regarding starting a hive. The second session, slated for Monday, March 22, will teach participants about managing a hive and how to properly harvest honey. The class costs $5, and the preregistration deadline is Friday, March 12. Details on how to reserve your spot in Beekeeping 101 can be found included below.
