Alexandra House Nursing Care Home was rated as 100 per cent ‘good’ following a recent inspection by the Care Quality Commission (CQC).
The care home, in Wroughton Court, achieved ‘good’ status in the five key standards of CQC assessment: safe, effective, caring, responsive and well-led.
In the report, the CQC said: “People told us they felt safe.

“People and relatives we spoke with felt supported by the manager.”
It has been a tough year, with care homes hit hard in many ways by the Covid-19 pandemic.
Lorraine Abbiss, care home manager at Alexandra House, said receiving the rating was a breath of fresh air after the events of the past 12 months.
