Redevelopment of African Caribbean Centre and adjacent site
PMRA has received notice from the council that it intends to enter a Planning Performance Agreement with developers for the area between Turnpike Lane, Hornsey Park Road and the south end of Clarendon Road - approximately half of the so called Site SA23 in the adopted Site Allocations DPD ( https://clarendonroad.communityuk.live/explore ). The matter will be discussed (almost certainly agreed) at the Planning Sub-committee on 11th January 2020. Its purpose is to pave the way to the grant of planning permission in the slickest way possible for applicant and council (which we believe to also be the land owner). It therefore feels like there could be both a conflict of interest and a compromising of positions (Haringey being the statutory planning authority, corporate landowner, lead for regeneration and possibly supporter of the applicant). We have got to where we are following a Pre-planning Consultation between council

Visitors Parking Permits - no 2021 to scratch
Hello! So I have lots of visitors permits due to this years pandemic and no one coming to visit us.. I have only noticed that there is no 2021 year to scratch off- will Haringey council give people some leeway as surely no one has been able to use many visitors permits In 2020?
I was thinking I could just clearly write the year 2021 on the tickets?
Is there someone from the council that could advise? I have been trying to contact Haringey council about this but have not heard back.
Here s Seema s response
Hi Seema, all vouchers expiring in 2020 can be exchanged like for like for new vouchers. Expired vouchers should be returned to Haringey Permits Team, Haringey Council, PO Box 55235, London N22 9DF. I would suggest they be sent by recorded/registered post MG

Did you know that lobsters were once prison food?
What we now see as a delectable, decadent treat was actually once termed as the “cockroaches of the sea” because it was just over abundant.
And it wasn’t just prison food, it was even used as fertiliser, or fish bait.
Sounds totally crazy to think about, but look how times have changed – lobsters are now one of the most expensive items on the menu.
So you may be wondering why I’m even talking about lobsters in my review of a shophouse.
Well, I can’t help but draw parallels to the history of shophouses.
Junction of Nightingale/Bounds Green Roads - Planning App for a grotesque and massive 18m Telecom mast plus metal boxes.
It is being sited on a green area and this will be dug up and disturbed. This is not dead space. It is environmentally important that we do not lose verges and green spaces which not only enhance our environment but allow diversity of plants and insect. We need these green spaces we do not need them to be nibbled away by supposed Technological Advances We have all learnt over the past few months the value of living in an area that offers many green areas in which to sit, play and walk. The houses beside this installation will be completely blighted and it adds nothing to the area which is reeling from excess traffic.
