YANKTON – The Oahe Capital girls earned their second and third wins of the season Sunday, winning over the Yankton Gazelles 4-1 and 5-3 on the road.
Sara Bierne scored twice in a three-goal first period in the first game and assisted on a third-period goal by Alyssa Stahl. Olivia Swenson also scored for Oahe. Abagail Stewart-Fromm stopped 13 Yankton shots.
Swenson registered a hat trick in the second game for the Capitals (3-9-0-1). Brenna Ullman also scored as the Capitals built a 4-0 lead three and a half minutes into the second period. After Yankton cut the lead to 4-3, Bierne wrapped up the game for Oahe with an empty net goal with 1:13 remaining. Sophia Peschong made 13 saves.

FORT PIERRE – Adisyn Gray and Alyssa Stahl scored in the third period Saturday to bring the Oahe Capital girls back from a 2-0 deficit to earn a 2-2 tie with Watertown at the Expo Center.
Gray scored just over four minutes into the third period to bring Oahe (1-7-1-1) to within 2-1. Stahl scored on the power play with 6:10 left in the third for the tying goal.
The Capitals will play at Sioux Falls Sunday.
