Seven employees of the Central Power Generation Company Ltd in Guddu were sacked over the electricity breakdown that hit Pakistan Saturday night.
According to a notification issued by the company s CEO, a preliminary inquiry revealed that the employees were working under Plant Manager III. Their negligence of duty led to the power failure, it read.
The workers have been identified as additional plant manager Sohail Ahmed, junior engineer Deedar Ali Channa, foreman Ali Hassan Golo, operators Ayyaz Hussain and Saeed Ahmed, and attendants Siraj Ahmed and Ilyas Ahmed.

Pakistan s Central Power Generation Company on Sunday suspended seven officials of Guddu Thermal Power Station on account of negligence during their duties which caused a massive power failure that plunged several cities of the country in darkness, reported Daily Pakistan. Seven officials working under Plant Manager-III are hereby laced under suspension with immediate effect and until further orders, on account of the negligence of duty which caused power failure found in view of a preliminary inquiry, reads the notification issued by Central Power Generation Company Limited. This development comes after the federal government constituted a committee to investigate the sudden electricity failure that hit the country on late Saturday night.

ISLAMABAD (Dunya News) - The Central Power Generation Company has suspended seven of its employees working under Plant Manager-III for showing negligence that caused the electricity failure.
According to details, the suspended employees include Adl. Plant Manager Suhail Ahmed, Junior Engineer Deedar Ali Channa, Foreman, Ali Hassan Golo, Operator Ayyaz Hussain Dahar and Saeed Ahmed , besides attendants Siraj Ahmed Memon and Ilyas Ahmed.
Meanwhile, the NTDC constituted a four-member committee to look into facts and caused of collapse of power system, which plunged most of the country into dark.
