Driver strikes and injures father and son in suspected Novato DUI
A family of four were walking home from the store Wednesday night in Novato, but only the mom and daughter made it across the street. The father and his 4-year-old son were struck in a suspected DUI. Both are now in ICU at local hospitals.
NOVATO, Calif. - A Novato boy is improving after being hit in a crosswalk with his father.
The 4-year-old was initially airlifted with life-threatening injuries after the crash Wednesday evening.
It happened in the Ignacio area, as a family of four crossed Alameda Del Prado near Posada Del Sol.

NOVATO, CA A 75-year-old Novato man was arrested for alleged impaired-driving after his vehicle struck and hurt a father and critically injured his 4-year-old son, both in a crosswalk Wednesday evening in Novato, according to authorities.
The child was taken to Marin General Hospital and later airlifted to an Oakland children s hospital, where he was listed in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, the Novato Police Department said today.
The driver, Edward Cox, was arrested and booked into Marin County Jail for suspicion of felony driving while under the influence, police said.
