And that was just her first two weeks on the job.

Stanley Subaru wins Chamber of Commerce Top Drawer Award for 2021
ELLSWORTH In recognition of over two decades of stellar service to the local community, the Ellsworth Area Chamber of Commerce will honor Stanley Subaru with its prestigious Top Drawer Award for 2021.
“Stanley Subaru is the epitome of what the Top Drawer Award stands for,” Chamber Board President Tom Wheeler said in announcing the honor. “There is no doubt that they are connected to their community at the highest level.”

The family counted the number of passing Subarus from lawn chairs set up in the parking lot before closing the deal. In 2005, their daughter, Samantha Politte, and son-in-law Mark Politte assumed ownership, with Dick Stanley staying on as general manager.

Chamber Board President Anna Rogers said they hired Choat-Brown for many reasons, and they were especially convinced when she said she was willing to put in the work to excel on the job. “Deidre has a lot of passion for everything that she does. And she is very detail-oriented, a great communicator, and we believe she will do a great job of being that liaison between the board and the community,” Rogers said. “Deidre told us in her first email inquiring about the job that even if she needed to train for some of the tasks required for the job, she was willing to put in that time and effort. We are excited to have her.”
