The hospital has added beds with oxygen facility
Noida: The Super Specialty Paediatric Hospital & Post Graduate Teaching Institute (SSPHPGTI) or Child PGI in Noida has started preparations to deal with the possible third wave of the COVID-19 pandemic.
The hospital has arranged 50 beds for the treatment of children, while 50 more beds will be arranged in the near future.
The beds have been equipped with oxygen supply, ventilators and infusion pumps. Oxygen will be delivered to all beds through the Central Oxygen System.
The organization said there is no shortage of oxygen as they have a four-layer oxygen system in place.
Noida: With no letup in the number of patients seeking admission and faced with an acute manpower shortage, a designated state-run Covid hospital in Noida has decided to cap the recovery period for health workers at 10 days.
The director of Child PGI (Super Specialty Paediatric Hospital & Post Graduate Training Institute) issued guidelines to staff members and workers on Tuesday that said health workers and paramedics who test positive for Covid-19 through RT-PCR will be considered non-infectious after 10 days. The guidelines said regular, contractual as well as contingent workers who are deputed for Covid duties in the hospital and contract the infection will be given a maximum of 10 days to report back to work.
