With oxygen support, her oxygen saturation level remains 100 percent and she needs one litre of oxygen an hour, said a doctor involved with Khaleda s treatment.
The doctor, who is in a 10-member medical board, said the former prime minister s oxygen level fluctuates without oxygen support, but the dependency has decreased. We advised the family members to take madam [Khaleda] abroad once she gains more stability, he told The Daily Star yesterday.
Her blood pressure was 120/80 at 5:00 pm yesterday when her respiratory rate was 15-20 per minute.

Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Chairperson Khaleda Zia, who has been staying out of politics since her imprisonment over three years ago, seems no longer dear to party leaders as indicated by their recent activities.
Since her imprisonment on February 8, 2018, BNP used to keep a chair on the dais vacant in its every political programme in honour of the party chief while there had been portraits of party founder Ziaur Rahman, Khaleda and acting Chairman Tarique Rahman in every banner.
But the scenario has changed in recent times as the party and its different front and associate bodies have been arranging programmes without keeping any chair vacant for Khaleda.

Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Khaleda Zia has been spending time at her city residence without the company of any family member keeping herself almost aloof from politics amid the coronavirus pandemic with her son Tarique Rahman carrying out party activities.
The BNP chief has been staying at her residence ‘Firoza’ in Gulshan area of the capital since her release from jail on March 25 last and receiving treatment there.
Her sister Selina Islam and Nasrin Eskander, wife of her younger brother Shamim Eskander, regularly visit her at her residence.
