BNP today alleged that the government is making a list of fake freedom fighters, comprising of Awami League supporters and their relatives who did not take part in the Liberation War in 1971. Those who are now in power did not fight the Liberation War. They did not see how the Liberation War took place in the battlefield. That is why they want to snatch the title of real freedom fighters, said BNP Senior Joint Secretary General Ruhul Kabir Rizvi at a human chain in front of the Jatiya Press Club today.

Chairperson of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) Khaleda Zia has been spending time at her city residence without the company of any family member keeping herself almost aloof from politics amid the coronavirus pandemic with her son Tarique Rahman carrying out party activities.
The BNP chief has been staying at her residence ‘Firoza’ in Gulshan area of the capital since her release from jail on March 25 last and receiving treatment there.
Her sister Selina Islam and Nasrin Eskander, wife of her younger brother Shamim Eskander, regularly visit her at her residence.
